Are you ready for another fruit block? These lemons are bright and fun and the pink heart accents just make me happy!
Make a Sweet Pink Lemonade Quilt Block For Our Fruit BOM
Pink Lemonade Quilt Block Supplies:
I used Riley Blake Designs basics for my block, mini hashtags, swiss dots, tone on tone white and some pink solid.
I am loving using the HeatnBond EZ Print Sheets to create my applique pieces. For this block, I used the HeatnBond Lite version.
For the applique stitching, I used Aurifil 50 wt in white (2024)
You can find the pattern for the applique pieces here.
Make a Sweet Pink Lemonade Quilt Block Instructions:
I created the applique following the instructions on the back of the HeatnBond EZ Print Sheets. The only hint I have is to keep the wedge pieces in order as you cut them out so they will fit better in the lemon slice, it’s not absolutely necessary, but it does make placing them a bit easier.
I stitched down all the pieces using a narrow and short zig-zag stitch, but you could use any applique stitch you like. For the mini heart seeds on the cut lemon, I just used a straight stitch, the pieces were so small, I didn’t want them to be hidden by the zig-zag stitch.
I can’t wait to see all the creative ways you use these fun fruit blocks! Enjoy!
xoxo,
Amy
