Deco Foiled Die Cut Cards Without A Laminator

Hello therm-O-Web friends. Shemaine here today sharing some Deco Foiled cards that I created without having to use a laminator. One of my friends stopped by my craft room and was intrigued by our Deco Foil. After admiring my rainbow of colors she said to me “But Shemaine, I don’t own a laminator.” I told her, no worries, you can still foil without one. And the tutorial began.

I cut a 5 3/4 X 5 3/4 piece of white cardstock and peeled off one side of our Easy Cut Adhesive sheet and placed it over the cardstock and rubbed it on. I then cut the cardstock in half. I used part of it to cut the cactus tops. For this project, I am using some cute cactus dies.

I run the dies through my die-cutting machine and peel off the other layer of the Easy cut adhesive sheet which exposes the sticky side and then lay a piece of the Spring Green Deco foil using my fingers, I rubbed it on the cactus die-cut. I repeated this step for the other two cactus dies.

My friend couldn’t believe the reveal. She was really impressed that the foil rubbed all the way into the detail of the cactus dies.

Next, I embossed a 4 1/3 X 5 1/2 piece of white cardstock with a woodgrain embossing folder I have in my stash.

Using my OLFA ruler, I like to make sure I am lining things up so they are straight.

I used some of Gina K’s new shaker strips to adhere the cactus pot to the card front.

And finished the card off with a sentiment.

For the second card I repeated the same steps as card #1 but used our Deco Foil Transfer sheet in Lime Satin.

Here’s the finished card. My friend really enjoyed watching me show her how to create these cards without using a laminator. I also shared with her how I love using our Easy Cut Adhesive sheets for adhering small dies and intracut cuts to my cardstock. I also use them on the back of craft foam and other mediums.
