Hello friends! Today it’s me, Ellen, sharing tree fun ways to add foil to your projects!
In this post I made a card and tag to thank a volunteer, who is going back to school and unfortunately no longer has time to help us at work.
Of course I wanted to make a special card/tag for her, because she helped us a lot. So it was time to bring out the foil and flock again.
I did color the background with pink ink. Next I did secure stencil with ‘Purple Tape’ and applied the ‘Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO’ with the ‘Stencil Pal’. When it’s dry (you can see that when it’s completely clear). You can add foil on top of the hearts with the ‘Transfer Foil’ (color side up). I’m use a hot laminator to add the foil permanently (you can use also a die-cutting machine to add the foil)
Next I also use the ‘Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts’ with foil to add some small elements (I did use the bracelets, a small heart and flagpole).
Cut a piece of ‘Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts’ and a slightly bigger piece foil. Put the of foil on top of the printed side of the toner card front and place it inside ‘Carrier Sheet’. When the laminitor is ready, run it true a laminator. You can peel of the foil when it’s cooled down.
The third way to add foil are Adhesive Transfer Designs (here I used one made by Unity – Sentiments 1). You use them the same way as the deco foil toner card fronts, the only difference is that there is one step before adding the foil. First you need to peel off the protector sheet and press is lightly to your paper. Run it true a laminator (or die cutting machine) by using a inside a Carrier Sheet. Now you can remove the printed protector sheet to reveal the clear adhesive design. To add the foil you repeat the proces with foil on top of the adhesive design.
Of course you can not only see foil, but also flock on the card and tag.
I applied the flock on to a piece of foam pushing it true a die-cutting machine. Aftert the flock was applied, I did cut a design out of it with dies.
