NO-SEW VALENTINE APRON with HEATnBOND Soft Stretch Instructions:
Step One:
Decide if you want the width of the apron to be 42” or less than. The example uses the entire 42” to create a “wrap around” apron. If you’d prefer it to be less, trim the black and white checked fabric to the desired size.
Step Two:
Trim the fabric if necessary to even out the edges. Press a 1” fold around all four sides of the fabric.
Step Three:
Following the directions on the package, iron the Heat n Bond Soft Stretch Fusible Adhesive Tape to 1” fold you just created on all four sides. See photo.
Remove paper from the back of the tape, fold the fabric over again and iron seams closed on all sides. Your fabric should look like this:
Step Four:
As done in step three, adhere HeatnBond Soft Stretch adhesive tape to top of the apron, from side to side 1” down from top edge where the ribbon will be attached. Remove paper backing from the tape and center the ribbon (from side to side) on the top of the apron. The example shows it attached about 1/2” down from top edge. Press in place.
Step Five:
Cut three heart shapes from red felt and three slightly smaller heart shapes from white felt. The hearts were cut “freehand”, however, you could trace hearts if you’d like. Using the HeatnBond Soft Stretch Fusible Adhesive tape, cut a few pieces to adhere the red hearts in a pleasing pattern on the apron, then the white hearts on top of the red hearts.
That’s all there is to it!!
Please let us know what you think, and we’d love to see photos of you in your apron!
Happy St. Valentine’s Day!
