Get To Know Us Feature – Meet Julia Sandvoss

It’s time for another Get To Know Us Feature!

This one is a little different as the person we are sharing today..is me. (The gal behind the blog!)

Here’s a bit about myself that my fellow team member wrote for our recent newsletter:

If you have ever visited Therm O Web on our inspiration-packed blog or Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest pages, then you have seen the wonderful work of Julia Sandvoss, our Director of Social Media & Education, pictured second from left with her fabulous family. Julia will celebrate her 4th year at Therm O Web next month, but she’s been in the creative industry for a looooong time! She’s been a design team member, a product designer, a company spokesperson and now helms all of Therm O Web’s consumer outreach. Daily, Julia manages all aspects of our social media, which will soon include engaging educational content on our YouTube channel.

Julia also coordinates not one, but two Therm O Web design teams, one for paper crafts and one for fabric crafts. She also manages our Affiliate Program and our new Brand Ambassador Program. She also attends and teaches at industry trade and consumer shows, including a recent first-time visit to a very fun SNAP Blogger event!

When asked what she most enjoys about her job, Julia said, “Honestly, I think it’s the interaction with our designers that extends into meeting everyone at the trade shows. They are the most talented group of women that I’ve been fortunate enough to manage and getting to interact with them, coordinate projects with them for upcoming ads, trade shows and the blog is never dull!

I also get a kick when I tell people what I do and I hear, ‘You get paid to Facebook?’ Well kind of…it’s really much more than that as I act as the voice of our company. A great deal of time and thought goes into what is created and then ultimately shared with our consumers. I enjoy looking for new ideas to keep things fresh and engaging!”

What’s Julia’s favorite Therm O Web product? “We have some outstanding products,” she said, “and while I want to say the Deco Foil because I’m a color girl and well, 31 colors makes me very happy, I truly love our iCraft® Tapes! Life changing…and often times you’ll find me with one in my purse!”

Outside of work, Julia has been happily married to her husband Scott for 24 years and is mom to Connor, Haley and Parker. She also adores and breeds Boston Terriers and just sent her fourth and final litter of puppies off to their forever homes.

I love to read and adore all things Jane Austen and Harry Potter and if I had a wish it would be to live on a beautiful beach with a clear as glass ocean to gaze out on. I also love Halloween and call myself the Queen of Halloween.

Each year we build a bigger and better cemetery in our front yard and now have a haunted house inside for people to walk through. Halloween has turned into a huge family affair for us and people come from all over to see what we do each year! 😉
