Hi!  It’s Amanda from Jedi Craft Girl stopping by with a little Farmhouse Valentine Pillow Project!  I love all things neutral and farm-y!  I really wanted some Valentine pillows that were slightly understated.  I’m so totally excited about how these turned out!  I love the simplicity of the designs!  They are the perfect addition to your farmhouse or vintage style!

Farmhouse Valentine Pillows

I used Heat n Bond Lite for the appliqué hearts – you can sew these pillows in about an hour! Whoo-Hoo!

Below are instructions for both the Large Heart Pillow and The Buffalo Check Small Heart Pillow.

Large Heart Farmhouse Valentine Pillow

Supplies:
(2) 20″ x 20″ natural linen
fat quarter black and white check
22″ invisible zipper
HeatnBond Lite Fusible Adhesive
Heart Pattern, click HERE
20″ pillow

Trace the large heart onto the HeatnBond Lite. Cut 1/4″ around the heart.

Fuse it to the wrong side of the black and white check fabric with a hot dry iron. Let cool. Cut along the pattern line. Peel off the backing paper.

Heat set it to the center of one of the 20″ squares.

Using a straight stitch, sew around the heart 2 times with black thread.
Follow THIS tutorial to finish the pillow with an invisible zipper.

Buffalo Check Small Heart Farmhouse Valentine Pillow

Supplies:
1 fat quarter large buffalo check fabric
1 fat quarter black fabric (for pillow back)
1 fat quarter red fabric
Heat n Bond Lite Fusible Adhesive
20″ invisible zipper
18″ pillow – Note – I usually always use 20″ pillows, but I only had a fat quarter of the large check fabric, so I made this one 18″.

Trace 9 small hearts onto the HeatnBond lite. Cut 1/4″ around each heart.

Fuse to the wrong side of the red fat quarter. Let cool.

Cut out around each heart and peel off the backing paper.

Cut the buffalo check fat quarter and black fat quarter into 18″ squares.

Position the hearts into the white sections of the buffalo check fabric and heat set in place. Sew around each heart with red thread.
Follow THIS tutorial to finish the pillow with an invisible zipper.

Nothing says farmhouse to me like gingham! Love the hearts in the white squares!
