With Thanksgiving less than a week away I’ve been busy preparing to host this year’s gathering and thought it would be fun to make a few decorations with the adorable products sent to me by Lawn Fawn. Who can resist the sweet critters that are part of the Into The Woods stamp set? There are several used on this dimensional decoration that I plan to place on the mantle in the dining room along with a few of my other autumn decorations.

The background was made by cutting papers from the Into The Woods 6×6 paper pad and then assorted images were stamped, colored, and cut out to create this woodland scene. To add more dimension, one of the deer and the fox were adhered using 1/4″ 3D Foam Squares.

The scene was created on a 6×6 piece of orange paper and the whole thing was adhered to a slightly larger piece of rust cardstock using foam squares. Adding a bit of dimension with foam squares can make a huge difference in the finished look of a project.

We have a pretty big crowd coming this year and finding everyone a place to sit is a challenge. Even though I wind up having to mix and match the plates and silverware, I like to try to make the table settings look more cohesive and one way to do that is by creating coordinating napkin rings. Using a cardboard paper tube from the center of paper towels or toilet paper provides an inexpensive (and green!) base for the napkin ring. Paper from the 6×6 pad is the perfect size to wrap around and you can create dozens from a single pad.

Just cut the tube into rings, apply SuperStik to both the paper and a bit to the tube, and adhere. These were embellished with matching flair that were attached to a punched cardstock circle. This would be a great project for kids to do… you could even cut up the cardboard and the papers ahead of time and let people make their own while dinner finishes cooking. 🙂

Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday!

I just bought three new stamp sets from Lawn Fawn but I have to say my all time favorite is Harold’s alphabet. I love to label people on my scrapbook layouts with this unisex alphabet. I love your Zots and way prefer them over your competitors similar product. The 3D kind are perfect for adding just a little bit of dimension and I’m confident the item is going to stay in its spot through the mail. Thanks for the great products.

There are so many neat stamp sets that it is hard to pin down a favorite. I would have to say my favorite is “Winter In The Park” for now. My favorites keep changing depending on what I’m working on.
