No-Sew HeatnBond Heart Bunting
Hi friends! Alicia here from Sew What Alicia. I just love creating no-sew projects and I am excited to share one with you today. Grab your pinking shears and some HeatnBond and let’s get not sewing!
No-Sew HeatnBond Heart Bunting
Supplies:
Windham Fabric Fat Quarters – Daisy Chain pictured
Heat nBond UltraHold Fusible Adhesive
Pinking Shears
Twine
No-Sew Heart Bunting Instructions:
Press your fat quarters. Fold the FQ in half and iron your HeatnBond onto the wrong side of half of the FQ.
Print or trace a heart to use as a stencil. With the FQ folded in half right sides facing trace the heart onto the paper of the HeatnBond.
Place a pin in each of the hearts to keep both layers of fabric together. Use your pinking shears to cut the hearts out. Only one side of the heart should have HeatnBond attached.
Peel the paper off the heart and place the two hearts right side together. Keep the pairs together because they should line up perfectly since you cut them out together. Grab your twine and place it through the widest part of the heart. Press the HeatnBond in place.
Repeat this step until you have added all of your hearts. Be sure to use a ruler to make sure the hearts are spaced equally.
HeatnBond Tips:
** Wait for the HeatnBond to cool completely before trying to hang your bunting. The adhesive needs to cool so it is no longer malleable.
** Press both sides of the heart to make sure the HeatnBond sticks really well.
** Use a sewable HeatnBond if you want to sew around the hearts to add the sewn look with stitching.
Thanks for letting me share this No-Sew HeatnBond Heart Bunting with you! I love no sew projects don’t you??
