Welcome back! I’ve got lots of rainbow for you today! If you know me, you know I love rainbows and the new Feeling Lucky Toner Card Front Pack includes some fabulous rainbow loveliness! I created three backgrounds from one of the rainbow card fronts! Here’s a short video showing how I did it:
I started by foiling one of the card fronts with rainbow Deco Foil. Then I used the negative sheet to foil a piece of toner paper. Next I ran that one through a second time with some beautiful silver foil from the Color Harmony Shades of Silver. Then I used the negative sheet from the silver to Deco Foil another panel of toner paper and ran that one through a second time with more rainbow foil! Here’s my three panels die cut:
So pretty right??
Next I foiled some toner card fronts with purple, red, and blue using foils from the Color Harmony packs that would coordinate with the colors in the rainbow foil so I could die cut from them.
I die cut the rainbow word die from each of the purple, red and blue foiled panels, and the shadow die (2) from silver and (1) from plain old white cardstock.
I will often cut extra layers from cardstock for more dimension for my word dies… then I just stack them and glue them together … of course with the foiled die cut on top.
I colored up some unicorns from Waffle Flower and Miss Ink Stamps.
And then sprayed over the entire top with Iridescent Glitter Dust…
It created such a beautiful shimmer over the unicorns!
Then I die cut strips from the foiled toner paper… for this one I didn’t have a long enough strip of the foiled paper to cut my strip from so I cut two strips and adhered them so that the seam would be behind the word die!
See! It’s right there behind the “b” and you can’t tell I pieced it together… where there’s a will, there’s a way!
I love this Waffle Flower sentiment set with the stamp set and word dies! And of course I used various thicknesses of foam tape… those Gina K strips were perfect for the sentiments!
And aren’t these cute little unicorns just the sweetest??
I may or may not have a few extras… unicorns and card fronts… so you may be seeing these again soon!
Rainbows are my favorite and I had so much fun playing with these!
Oh and I almost forgot to mention the little starts I cut from each of the foiled papers using the coordinating dies from the Waffle Flower Unicorn stamp set!
That’s me for today! I hope I inspired you to play with your foils and don’t be afraid to mix and match foils and even run your creations through more than once!
