This year’s blog hop theme is Sketches! We picked out one of the amazing card sketches, #30, and had a few of our design team members show their representation of the sketch. I love using sketches…it’s a great way to start the creative process and yet the end result doesn’t look identical to the last!
Here’s an interpretation of the sketch by design team member, Erin Yamabe!
Erin used NEW iCraft Dots to create her flowers, Zots and the Sticky Dot Runner XL to adhere the remaining parts of the card down. I love the layered scallop stripe at the top and the doily inspired shapes which are so hot right now!
Same sketch but incorporates butterflies by Daniela Dobson
Daniela used the Sticky Strip Runner, Zots and Foam Squares to bring her butterfly to life! I love the use of Baker’s Twine…another hot trend we’re seeing lately!
Here are two great examples from Melissa Bullock.
The first uses the Sticky Strip Runner, Foam Squares, SuperTape and our NEW Glitter Dust! I love the ruffled piece stitched at the top and the leaf trim that underlines the phrase.
Melissa’s second card is the same sketch but looks completely different! This card uses Sticky Strip Runner and Medium Zots to attach the buttons…And who doesn’t have leftover buttons laying around!?! Great way to use them and I love the ticket stub border at the top. So cute!
And a fun yet inspiring version by Alice Golden
Alice used the Sticky Tape Runner and Foam Squares. You can see she used two shades of blue to lightly stamp the sentiment in the background of the paper. I LOVE the rainbow ric-rac as the top stripe!
