Hello everyone, it’s Ellen here writing this blog post. Today I have a fun alternative to give to close friends, family or colleagues at work, created using a lot of products from ThermOWeb.

This year I decided to give some family members a decorate chocolate box instead of a card. Of course with the new year around the corner I made a few extra boxes for friends on new years evening with all the glitter and glamour.

Let me tell you how I did make these yummy wishes.

1. We barely tell you how much we LOVE all the different glues from ThermOWeb. One of my favorites is the iCraft SuperTape. It’s super sticky perfect to make a box that does not fall apart (because admit it, that is a real annoyance for every creative person who spends so much time on his/her project). I promise you there is no going back when you try these red tapes.

2. Next I added all the sparkles using hot foil. A good advice what really works for me, is only when I have gone through the entire process of my hot foil machine and just before I put everything through my cutting machine I add the foil and paper from Thermoweb on top of my hot foil plates. I finish the sandwich like told on the instructions from my die cutting machine. The waiting till the end for adding the foil really helps to get the best results.

3. A project for new year needs more shine, so I applied more Deco Foil. This works different than the hot foil and is in my opinion a less expensive and such a fun addition to hot foiling. You can see here a video on how you can use it.

All other layers where applied using a lot different glues. What makes it extra easy, is that you don’t have to think about on a written message in the inside (like you do on a card), bginaecause the inside is covered with yummy chocolate.

I love these festive boxes and I’m sure my friends and family will like them too.
