Holiday gift tags with toner card fronts and foil

Hello Therm-O-Web friends! It’s that time of the year again and I love creating my own homemade gift tags for all of my holiday gifts. Today I am sharing some fun gift tags I created using our toner card fronts and Deco foil.

Getting started I take two of the toner card fronts from the Against the Grain set and pair them with Amber Watercolor Deco Foil. I foil them with my Gina K Designs Fuse Foiling System.

The foiled result is perfect for the wood grain look I wanted for these tags. Next, use a variety of gift tag shapes to cut out the tags and then I take some Tim Holtz distress ink and ink the toner card fronts. I love this look.

Now I am ready to die cut the variety of holly, poinsettia, and foliage dies I am planning to decorate my tags with. You can grab whatever smaller dies you have in your stash to decorate your tags too. I like to use different papers from foiled, to plush and glitter.

Using the Ultrabond liquid adhesive I adhere my die cuts to the tag, Then I stamp a sentiment, cut it out, adhere it, and finish the tag with a cute bow. For the second tag, I am using some plush papers for the poinsettia die and using matte foiled cardstock and layering them.

Using more dies from my stash I create another tag with our plush papers and some glitter cardstock I have on hand.

I try to make a variety of different tags with different dies but the plush papers really add dimension to the die-cut images. I want to note that the Tuscan Gold plush paper is no longer available. Instead, we have a new color called Soft Stone.

Here’s a look at all the completed tags. I really like how they turned out with the toner cardfront designs as their background. The finished tags are so festive and fun!
