Jenifer Cowles here with you today to share this simple wall hanging.  It can easily be done in an afternoon or weekend.

Happy Holidays Wall Hanging by Jenifer Cowles
Supplies:
Assortment of 7 Blend Hip Holiday fabrics
1 yard for back Hip Holiday Cars
1 yard for front Hip Holiday White with Silver Swirl
1/2 yard binding
embroidery floss (optional)
Therm O Web Glitter Dust in Silver
Happy Holidays Wallhanging PDF for Octagons

Cutting instructions:
Cut out 8 Octagons in various Hip Holiday Fabrics
1-22″x36″ of the white with silver swirl for the front
1-22″x36″ of the cars for the back
1-4″x44″ Red fabric for the Bow
Red fabric for the title

Directions:
Place Octagons as desired in a circle to form a wreath on the white and silver background fabric.  Edge stitch around each octagon as desired.  Adhere the fusible fleece to the backing fabric, pin top of wall hanging to back of wall hanging and quilt as desired.
Hand embroider around the wreath if desired, this is optional but definitely makes it pop.
For the Happy Holidays I went to the computer and found a font I liked and enlarged it to the desired size.  Print it mirrored.  Trace the appliqué title pieces on the HeatnBond® LiteIron to the wrong side of the fabric.  Cut out the title and peel off the backing.
Center it on the white swirl fabric and press in place. Outline stitch each of the appliqué pieces.

Cut (3) 2.5″ strips and sew them together using a diagonal seam.  Press in half lengthwise.  Line up the raw edges and sew around the wall hanging.  Hand sew it in place.

Spray the 4″x44″ with Silver Glitter dust, this will make the background fabric really stand out and sparkle.  Sew it in half, long ways giving you a 2″x 44″ tube, turn right side out.  Stitch the ends closed.  Tie in a Bow.  Tack it in place with a few hand stitches.
Now enjoy your super cute wall hanging and your Holidays.

Jenifer

Because we are multi generational family we try to let the three year old rule the roost a little (just enough to make him feel special). We go with the flow and remember the memories are in the doing things together even if they are not perfect!
