I started this layout by pulling out a sheet of green textured Bazzill cardstock and applying some clear Gesso with my spatula. I did this to prep my paper to hold the mixed media I am going to apply so it doesn’t warp or soak into my paper. While that was set aside, I went to work on my cutfile.
I cut my file twice. Once, out of black cardstock, and second out of the Peel n’ Stick Toner Sheet. I like to use the posterboard setting on my cutting machine to cut through all the layers. Once my layers were all cut, I grabbed my Fuse Laminating system and a craft and carrier sheet. I sandwiched a sheet of Silver Stars Deco Foil on top of my Peel n’ Stick Toner Sheet between the carrier sheet and ran through the Fuse Laminator.
Once my Gesso was dry, I grabbed a bunch of my Shimmerz Paints and started applying them with some water, and smushing it onto my paper with some packaging(acetate sheet). I also used my paintbrush to flick some on to add some splatters. I continued layering and drying between layers with my heat tool. I then added some white paint splatters for a marbled effect. Once that was dry, I added some sequins with the UltraBond Liquid Adhesive, which is what I also adhered my cutfile outline with.
I peeled the foiled letters from the Peel n’ Stick backing and popped them up with some foam squares. I used the black ones in the Deco Foil box and the small Gina K ones, both linked above. I just love how all that mixed media makes the foil goodness of the cutfile pop off the page like a celebration!
I layered some tissue paper and patterned paper behind my photo and also used some Thermoweb photo corners. I then added a canvas flair from Scrappin Happy Studio and a few embellishments from my stash. I finished it off with some stamping and lines around the distressed edges of my paper and matting it with a fun polka dot patterned paper.
