New Home Cards with Glitz Glitter Gel

Of all places you can go to, there is also a place called home. Today I will show you how I created these bright “New Home” cards.

I had two new die sets that I really loved using for these cards. One is a birdhouse and the other one is a gnome house (great to use with our gnomes!). While I did cut out all elements I decided it would be fun to use a few flocked elements.

You can add flock by applying it to a foam adhesive sheet. First, you peel the paper liner off of the foam adhesive. Place flock (color side facedown) onto the exposed adhesive and run through a manual die-cutting machine. Next, you can peel away the flocked sheet from the foam. As the last step, you can die-cut your new flocked foam with the desired elements. I used flock for the petals, beard and bird. You can simply add the elements on your card by removing the remaining liner from your flocked design.

I love using the flock on a few elements, it’s like these touchable elements on baby books. It just adds that extra wow element.

The flock was not enough for me. I also used Glitz Glitter Gel to add more glitter and glamour to the cards.

Glitz Glitter Gel is very easy to use. First I did color my backgrounds by adding ink to a white panel. Then you can tape the stencil to paper using the Removable Pixie Tape Roll, Apply Glitz Glitter Gel across the stencil using Deco Foil Stencil Pal.

Two houses are built next to our home, so I’m already prepared to give the new neighbors a warm welcome on our street.
