Hi! Chrissie here today! I’ve created two different cards using the same toner card fronts twice! I happen to love using those larger background dies, too, so this was the perfect opportunity to use multiple foils along with the larger dies!

Dual Foiled Card Backgrounds

Supplies Used:
Deco Foil Transfer Sheets, Aqua
Deco Foil Transfer Sheets, Red
Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts – Dainty Hearts
Deco Foil Clear Designer Toner Sheets – Love Blooms
iCraft 3D Foam Squares Dispenser Box 320 count (White)
iCraft Memory Tape Runner XL (50ft)
Deco Foil Parchment Paper
Laminator
Diagonal Stripe Die (Catherine Pooler Designs)
Peeking Pets Stamp Set and Dies (Catherine Pooler Designs)
Notes of Love Sentiments Stamp Set and Dies (Catherine Pooler Designs)
Scallops and Dots Die (Catherine Pooler Designs)
Cummerbund Ink, Midnight Ink (Catherine Pooler Designs)

I used the same color combo for both cards.  I just really love the way red and aqua flow together, so I thought that would be a good color scheme.  This way, I can use these cards for Valentine’s Day if I want OR for any other special occasion (which I love to do because I like to be able to stretch my supplies and cards, too)!

I started out by foiling the Dainty Hearts and Love Blooms Toner Card Fronts in both the Red and Aqua DecoFoil Transfer Sheets.  I simply placed the Toner Card Front inside parchment paper (I did use a piece of cardstock as the backer to give it some weight) and then place the foil on top of the Card Front.  Make sure the Card Front has the design FACE UP and the DecoFoil is SILVER SIDE DOWN.  It just ran through my laminator once it was fully warmed up and that was it! I repeated it for each Toner Card Front and each color.

Then I die cut one design each.  Once they were cut out, I adhered them to the foiled (non-cut) Toner Card front of the same design using some 3D Foam Squares.  This is really quick and simple to do.  I really love using my Toner Card Fronts for this reason – it saves me so much time! They are pretty much premade for me, so I only have to add on the DecoFoil and any other finishing touches.

I simply stamped the cute puppies onto cardstock and colored them in with colored pencils.  I blended them with Gamsol.  Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I also stamped and die cut the sentiments.  I added a little ink (Cummerbund) to the due cut just to cut down on the harshness of the white.  I felt like it was getting lost with the amazing background so that sentiment needed a little bit of color to make it stand out.

I assembled both cards using my XL Tape Runner and some more 3D foam squares.  I love the dimension the backgrounds give! I think it makes the cards so much more interesting to look at instead of just a flat background!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don’t forget we are running a fantastic sale on most of our Toner Card Fronts, so pop on over to the store and grab yours before they are gone!
