We hope you’re enjoying this fun week with our friends at Sunny Studio!

We’ve for some time admired their products and projects like this! How cute is this idea to create place settings for the upcoming holiday with their stamps and dies? Perfect to do for Birthdays, parties and more!

So be sure to join us all this week as we share creative projects that feature our two companies products!

Spring Deco Foil Cards

Up first today is Designer Lynnea Hollendonner with some gorgeous spring cards that feature Sunny Studio stamps along with Deco Foil and our NEW Brutus Monroe Designer Toner Sheets!

Hello, again! It’s Lynnea Hollendonner with a trio of cards featuring Deco Foil Transfer Sheets paired with some products from Sunny Studio Stamps!

I LOVE the Everything’s Rosy stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps and I wanted to have contrast between my card backgrounds and the floral focal point, so I decided to do colorful backgrounds and neutral colored flowers. I grabbed the Crosshatch Brutus Monroe Designer Toner Sheets and cut them down to be the size of a standard card front. I love the distressed look and thought it would be perfect with the elegant layered flower. For this first card, I used the Aqua Deco Foil Transfer Sheets on my background. I’ve never used toner sheets before – and I have some tips of advice for you!

You need to get your laminator good and hot! Super hot! I waited until my laminator said it was hot, but I probably should have waited about 20 to 30 minutes before running my toner sheet and foil through. You can see that not all of the toner activated and took on the foil. In this case – I like the look! It makes my background look “scratchy” and plays up the crosshatch look. But to avoid this definitely heat up your machine so it’s good and hot and it is recommended a good 20 to 30 minutes! In the end, I love my backgrounds! So I kept them!TooltipText

I wanted the color of the backgrounds to be the main pop of color on my card – so I stamped the 5 layers of the flowers from the Sunny Studio Everything’s Rosy stamp set with gray inks. I mixed my warm gray inks and cool gray inks and I’m just obsessed with the resulting dimension! The flowers look so real! I decided to dress up the Hello Word Die a little bit by “dipping” it in foil.

I die cut the hello from gray cardstock and used a foam blending tool and pounced on some Deco Foil Transfer Gel to the bottom half of my die cut. It dried very quickly! I waited until the gel was completely dry and clear – only about 10 minutes – and ran the die cuts through my laminator with some Silver Deco Foil. This gives me a super cool die cut “dipped” in foil. It was difficult to photograph so definitely watch the video below! I adhered the flowers, leaves, and die cut sentiment with iCraft Ultra Bond liquid adhesive.

I created my second card the same way as the first – I just changed the color of the background! I used the Lilac Deco Foil Transfer Sheets along with the Brutus Monroe Crosshatch Designer Toner Sheets. I again “dipped” my die cut sentiment in Silver Deco Foil by pouncing on some Deco Foil Transfer Gel and running it through my laminator with foil. I decided to arrange everything in the center of my card this time and adhered everything with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive.

Spring Deco Foil Cards

I wanted to show that you can use these products without having to use a laminator. I used Deco Foil Double Sided White Foam Adhesive Sheets and cut them down to strips of varying widths. I wanted to play off of the crosshatch pattern of the other two backgrounds, so I started on the left side of my card and arranged the thin strips of foam adhesive in a diagonal pattern and then added more at a right angle on the right side of the card. I had to use my favorite foil! The Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheets! I love them! I removed the top layer of adhesive from all of my foam strips and pressed the Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil onto the strips. I added a few flowers and leaves, as well as a “dipped” foil, die cut to the front of the card with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive.

I hope you’ll watch the video below and that you were inspired by these cards!

The Breakfast Puns stamps are at the top of my list 🙂 I would also love the foils, I just need a machine so I can use them. I am going to the Pomona Expo tomorrow, I might just need to buy one.
