Be You, Be Proud
By Heather Collins

Every year my husband and I take our family to the Pittsburgh Pride Parade. Some years we have walked it and others we have watched it. This year my kids walked with not only our family but with their friends. And every year I take my favorite picture and make a scrapbook layout LGBTQIA+ style to remember the time.

This layout was pretty simple to make. I took a 11.5”x11.5” Big City Style style and used a pallet knife and “Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel DUO” on a piece of 12”x12” piece of white 110lb cardstock. After it was dry I used two pieces of “Deco Foil Transfer Sheets • Iridescent” and foiled it by putting it into my Minc on Level 4 twice.

Because I couldn’t find the perfect 12”x12” colored cardstock, I ink blended my own using “Pink Fresh Inks” and “Brutus Monroe Blending Brushes”. I did this both for the cardstock piece and the cardstock behind the main photo and also on a scrap piece. Next I trimmed off ½” off my foiled cardstock, this would allow the rainbow ink blending from the second piece to show through. Then I attached the two pieces of paper using “iCraft UltraBond Permanent Dries Clear Adhesive”.

Next I attached a piece of black cardstock behind my main photo and then layered the smaller ink blended piece. Then using the “iCraft 3D Foam Tape Jumbo Roll” I attached my “Be You, Be Proud” sticker. To finish the layout I punched out little hearts and glued them with the adhesive to the bottom of the page.
