Today I am sharing a simple legging project I made using some GORGEOUS cotton spandex knot fabric from the Girl Charlee Bolt collection. When I saw the print “Homestead Life Linear Diamonds”, I thought it would be perfect for a pair of girls leggings.
Simple Girls Leggings with Girl Charlee Fabrics and HeatnBond® Hem Tape
Legging Supply List:
1 yd. of knit fabric
Aurifil Thread (color used here is 5022)
Oliso Iron
Girl Charlee Bolt – Homestead Life Linear Diamond Fabric
Pattern from: Sew Can She (Basic Leggings)
Legging Instructions:
This is a SUPER easy tutorial and followed it as written above. The only thing I changed was to use some HeatnBond® Hem tape for the hem of the pant legs. Using a 5/8″ hem tape is a SUPER easy way to get a nice straight hem that stays in place while you sew.
You simply iron the hem tape on:
Peel off the paper backing; fold over the fabric,
and iron again! Then you are able to stitch a perfect hem without the fabric moving.
Perfect, simple hem on these adorable printed leggings! And so comfy, too!
Just a reminder to join us tomorrow as we celebrate interNational Scrapbook Day! Designer Audrey Yeager will have a project for you along with a giveaway and we have a sale as well!
Tune in bright and early for the fun!
