You Are My Person Scrapbook Layout

Hey Therm O Web fans, it’s Katrina from Paper, Scissors and Glue today to share a fun, quick (and I do mean quick!) way to add a focus of DecoFoil™ on your projects. My project of choice was a layout, but this would work for a card, canvas, art page, etc!  And I wanted to show how well DecoFoil™ works with other products that are already foiled, since there are a lot of collections that have foiled items!

Therm O Web 3D White Foam Squares-Combo Pack
Therm O Web iCraft® DecoFoil™ Foam Adhesive 
Therm O Web iCraft® DecoFoil™ Summer Rainbow
Therm O Web Sticky Tape Mini Runner

Project Instructions:

I have wanted to do this since the day I got this new Summer Rainbow DecoFoil™, but just didn’t have the right project for it!

Use a full sheet (6×12) of Deco Foil Foam Adhesive and one full Deco Foil™ transfer sheet of NEW Summer Rainbow foil.

Turn foil transfer sheet over, placing color side down/gray color side up.  Lift backing from DecoFoil Foam Adhesive, starting on the long side. Line up and place on your foil transfer sheet and then carefully peel rest of backing while applying pressure to adhere foil to adhesive.  Trim any areas that didn’t cover or to make sheet fit your project.  I cut mine just a little smaller for the look I wanted.

Note:  The more you “rub” the foil you will get different looks.  My project has a smooth look along with what I call a “leathered” look to it.TooltipText

Eyeball center of project and using the same technique, apply the foam sheet to your project.

Layer pattern paper and embellishments on your project, using 3D Foam Squares and the Sticky Tape Mini Runner.  The foam adhesive will give a little dimension to your project, but I tend to like using the 3D Squares, because I love the pop they give.  But, if you are worried about bulk, you can also use the DecoFoil Foam Adhesive by cutting it and layering your items.

I LOVE this Summer Rainbow DecoFoil, it’s my favorite color!!

Add journaling strips if you like.  I usually raise mine, but I liked the way they played off the foil when I laid them down figuring out placement.
