Wicked Halloween Cards with Unity Stamp Co.
Welcome back! We’re playing with all things creepy this week! I created a couple cards for today using a couple gel prints with lots of grunge.
I started by cutting the first one down to mini slimline size. I decided this one was the perfect card to add some of the Brutus Monroe adhesive transfers from the most recent release and I chose a couple of the paint swatch designs from the Dazzling Doodles set. I cut out the row of three together and added them to the card using pressure from my die cutting machine.
I used some Lily Pad Transfer Foil for this one… it’s a beautiful green that changes colors as you move it around… very cool!
I chose some bugs from a cute bug stamp set and stamped, cut and colored the dung beetles and chose one of the cute sentiments. Then I transferred the “dang” from the Unity Simply Amazing Set with some Black Foil and fussy cut it out.
So cute, right?? This one makes me giggle… when you raise two boys, you pick up a few things..lol! And to make up for the gross boy humor…lol… I have something else for you!
For my second card, I started with a plaid gel print with pinks, oranges and black.
I love the Just Numbers Adhesive Transfers from Unity! They made a great add to this Halloween card and love that they have the little “st”, “rd”, and “th” contractions. I used pressure from my die-cutting machine to add these as well.
Then I used a Halloween masking stencil and some Glitz Glitter Gel to add another design layer over the plaid. Because the stencil has no edge I just let the gel fade off the side. I started with some pink Neon Pop gel, but the color wasn’t solid so after it dried I lined up the stencil again and applied black over the top. It left a cool look where the pink was peeking out in some areas. Definitely going to play with this a bit! I set this aside to dry.
I stamped, cut and colored the llama from that adorable Llama Tell You Something stamp set from Unity. I added some polka dots to the headband and bow tie. I love to use this method when I’m working on something that might have curly fur.
Finally, I assembled all of my pieces. Don’t you just love that adorable little top hat on my spider??? And the spider and web on my llamas top hat… I love little details like this. I die cut all of the black elements directly from Black Flock and the pink elements were cut from a used Neon Pink Flock transfer sheet that still had some flock left on it.
