Thankful!

I grew up in the countryside till I was 12. It was a wonderful, peaceful way of life; reminds me of something you read about in storybooks. And the church I went to was very old and was started by my ancestors. I wanted to capture these memories in this mixed media piece.
To start this project I selected my favorite piece of paper from the Brutus Monroe Autumn Scenes Paper Pad. Using a Mince I foiled a piece of Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets • Copper. Next I trimmed 1/2″ off of the paper I selected then using the Tape runner XL icraft I attached this to the Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets • Copper, that I had cut down to a 6″x6″ size. I attached all of this to a shadow frame I picked up at a big box store using Thermoweb Ultrabond Glue.
Next I foiled Brutus Monroe A2 Toner Mixables 4.25″ x 5.5″ sheets – Floral Fantasy with the Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets • Copper and then ink blended using Pink Fresh inks in various colors. To make the leaves for the project I die cut them out with the Brutus Monroe Fall Leaf | Stand Alone Cutting Die Set. I also die cut out different leaves from the foiled Deco Foil™ Toner Sheets.
To add a few extra pieces I die cut out from Fall Foliage Dies and colored a few wooden pieces. To assemble everything I used the Thermoweb Ultrabond Glue and few pieces of 3D White Foam Squares • Combo Pack. What are you thankful for?
