Welcome to Sweet Shoppe Week here on the Therm O Web Blog!  I’ve got a couple cards for you today with lots of hearts and sparkles and a little bit of yum!

Sweet Friend Cards with Fancy Foils and Glitz Glitter Gel

I had fun with two different color palettes but a lot of the same elements… including some Transfer Gel, Deco Foils, Toner Paper, and some yummy candy images!

I started with a couple die cut panels.  One was cut from an acrylic paint gel print and the other from plain white cardstock.  Sometimes Deco Foil will transfer to the paint so I decided to run the gel print panel through my laminator with some Magical Shattered Glass to minimize the amount of foil that would transfer to it before stenciling some transfer gel over the top of both panels using the Candy Stripe stencil from Miss Ink.  I set them aside to dry and took that time to stamp, die cut, and colored my candy images.

I foiled the gel print with red and as you can see there was still a small amount of transfer to the acrylic paint, but I didn’t mind the little extra sparkle.

I foiled the cardstock panel in pink but decided I wanted to add some strips of green so I masked off some areas leaving a strip between two masking strips to apply more transfer gel.  After it dried I ran it through the laminator with green Deco Foil.

For a fun two-color stripey background!

I decided to add some Glitz Glitter gel to the red-striped panel using a pretty heart-filled stencil.

I decided to try to remove a little of the extra foil from the acrylic gel print using a rubber eraser… but not too much because I did love the extra red sparkle.

For the pink and green card, I decided to make my sentiment using some Adhesive Transfers from the Happy Everything set.  You can transfer them without heat… just adhere to a sheet of cardstock and run it through the die-cutting machine.  Then add Deco Foil and run it through a second time.

I love how easy it is to use these transfers!  And be sure to save those used foil pieces!  You can use those too later!

I die cut the Happy using the dies that coordinate with the Happy Everything stamp set and then Deco Foiled a couple panels of Toner Paper in the red and pink to use to die cut some hearts for both.

I also cut a Sweet word die from the red foiled toner paper and four times from a white cardstock.  Sometimes especially with a thin die cut I like to stack multiple cuts for dimension.  I added the foiled one to the bottom and adhered it a little offset for a very thin red foiled shadow.

Finally I used lots of foam tape to add all of my pieces along with a couple stamped words to complete my sentiment for the red one.

I love how this pic picked up all of the little starry sparkles in the pink foil.

This will make a great Galentine card for a friend!

And this one is for anyone anytime really!

Thank you so much for stopping today!  I hope you enjoyed it and you’ll keep coming back for more Sweet inspiration!
