A few weeks ago I shared a tutorial for some simple leggings that I made my daughter with Girl Charlee Knit Fabrics. I loved the geometric print, but I felt like I needed to make something to go with it. I searched and found a simple, free pattern at the tutorial at Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom. You can find the link HERE.
Spring Girls Dress with Girl Charlee Knit Fabrics
I used the Homestead Life Kabloom Floral Cotton Spandex Knit Fabric.
I followed along with the tutorial and use the new HeatnBond Soft Stretch Fusible Adhesive for the neck facing pieces.
The Heat N Bond soft stretch irons on the back of the facing piece, and once my facing was attached to the neck of the dress, I ironed it in place so that it won’t move or turn up when the dress is worn and washed.
While stitching, I used Aurifil Thread in a contrasting “Mustard” color #5022
This tutorial was simple to follow and my daughter loves her new dress (especially because it has pockets!)
And I just love a geometric print with a floral!
