Soft Stretch Flower Applique Scarf
Hi friends! Alicia here again from Sew What Alicia! I am so excited to be working with our new HeatnBond® Soft Stretch Fusible Adhesive today! I am so ready for spring and so I have been eyeing all my spring fabrics getting ready for some fun scarves! Here is a fun way to customize your scarf with a soft stretch flower appliqué.
Soft Stretch Flower Applique Scarf
Supplies:
HeatnBond® Ultra Soft Stretch Fusible Adhesive
Stretchy Scarf
Cotton (I used three colors to make an ombre.)
Instructions:
Press your fabrics and your scarf to make sure you have a nice flat surface to work with. Then cut three strips of soft stretch. Trace petals onto each of the three strips. You will want about 8 of the two pinks and then three or four of the white. You will also trace a small circle in white to top the flower off.
Iron the soft stretch onto the wrong side of the fabric. Then cut the petals out.
Now start with the darkest color and peel the paper off the back of the petals. Line the petals up in a circle on the scarf. Do them all and then press once rather than pressing each one, this will save you a lot of time.
Now work your way in and line up the lighter pink up in a smaller circle. Iron these in place.
Lastly line up the white petals and the small circle to close the flower.
Tada! All finished! Isn’t it such a fun quick project??
Thanks for letting me share this fun flower appliqué scarf with you! Stop by and say HEY on whatever social media you choose to spend your time on!!! <3
