I like to add my foil to toner sheets by color, thus minimizing the need to cut the foil and decreasing the likelihood of things slip-sliding around and making a mistake. The Chic Chevron toner sheet I cut into chevron strips and put 2 of those and a row of dots from the Lots of Cards Card Front with the Bubblegum Gina K Fancy Foil on top.
Once nicely coated in that lovely shade of pink, I ran another chevron strip and another row of dots through the prewarmed laminator with the Gina K Turquoise Sea Fancy Foil. Remember – the desired color side facing you, silverback onto the black of the toner sheet!
I wasn’t sure how the stitching on top of the foiled toner sheet was going to go but as you can see from both the close-up above and below, it’s amazing! I was worried that you would see a streak left by the machine foot but it’s barely noticeable. I will point out that I have a plastic foot on my machine (not the metal foot that some machines have – this MIGHT, I don’t know for sure, make a difference).
Adding the illusion of falling snow and mimicking the snow embellishments that came with the Simple Stories Feelin’ Frosty collection, I punched some of the Lots of Dots circle out with two different size circle punches. Once adhered with a Gina K Dot Runner, I used a Slick Writer pen to draw over them! YES! With the correct pen, you CAN draw/write on foil! Game changer, right?! I love the ability to personalize things, make them mine.
