Hello Crafty Friends!!
Larissa here today to share some Spooky and Spectacular Shaped Halloween Shaker Card Ideas for ALL of those Halloween Needs!! I LOVE Giving FUN Little Gifts not just for Halloween or Birthdays, but just because too!!
Shaped Halloween Shaker Cards with Deco Foil
I Started by Die Cutting the Trinity Stamps Slimline Skelly Die!! How FUN is this Die Set!!?? So MANY Techniques you can use to create with this Die, but today I want to share a FUN Shaker Idea!! You could use this on a Slimline Card Front too if shaped Cards aren’t your thing!! I started by Adhering some White Latte Deco Foil Flock to some White Cardstock using some Easy-Cut Adhesive Sheets, then running it through my Die Cutting Machine to Burnish the Flock into the Adhesive!! Then I removed the Backing Sheet and Die Cut the Skeleton Outline!!
Next I Die Cut the Skeleton from some Black Cardstock to create the back of the Shaker Card!! I also Die Cut some Clear Acetate both also from just the Skeleton Outline Die!! I then Die Cut another Piece of Black Cardstock using the Outline and the Inside of the Skeleton to create the top of the Shaker!! I saved ALL of the little pieces so I could adhere them to the Deco Foil Flock Outline after I inked it with some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink!! I also added some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink for the Cheeks and added some White Gel Pen Highlights!!
Then I added the Foam Tape to create my Shaker Frame and added the Creamy Vanilla Heart Sprinkles and the Glass Slipper Confetti Mix to the Inside of the Skeleton and adhered the Top of the Skeleton to finish the Shaker Skeleton!! I also Die Cut a Flower from the Trinity Stamps Botanical Die from some Rainbow Shattered Glass Dec Foil Sheets that I foiled onto some Deco Foil Toner Sheets!! Then I Die Cut the Leaves and some Pumpkin Tendrils from some Deco Foil Emerald Green Flock Sheets!! I also added a Heart Die Cut from the same Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil and a Peach Trinket Rhinestone Heart to the center of the Heart for some Sparkle!!
I Stamped and Embossed the “Happy Halloween” Sentiment from the Trinity Stamps Punny Mummy Stamp Set using Versa Mark Ink and WoW Bright White Embossing Powder!! I LOVE how this CUTIE Turned out and how FUN it is to add some EXTRA Details to really give it some Personality!!
For the Second Shaped Shaker, I’m using the Trinity Stamps Ripe Pumpkin Cut & Foil Die Set!! This is another Die Set that can be used SO MANY different ways, with and without Hot Foil!! Let me show you another way to use it to create a Shaped Shaker Card!!
I Die Cut the Outline Die Twice from some White Cardstock and again from some Deco Foil Flock Sheets in Orange Glow!!
Then I Die Cut the Outline Pumpkin from some Toner Sheets that I foiled with some Orange Sketch Deco Foil!! I also Die Cut the Outline from a piece of Clear Acetate for the Shaker Window!! Then I created the Inside of the Pumpkin Die Cutting it Twice from some White Cardstock and then Five Times from some Orange Cardstock for the Inside Wall of the Shaker!! This Outline isn’t wide enough for Foam Tape, so you have to Die Cut Several and then Layer them together!! I then Cut away the Inside Part of the Pumpkin to create my Shaker Frame!!
Then I added the Shaker Elements using the Trinity Stamps Boo Who, Spook Squad and Fright Flight Embellishment Mixes!! SQUEAL!! I just LOVE it!! I also Die Cut a Flower from the Trinity Stamps Botanical Die from some Purple Felt from our Friends at Benzie Design!!
Then I Die Cut the Leaves and some Pumpkin Tendrils from some Deco Foil Emerald Green Flock Sheets!! I also added a Heart Die Cut from the same Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil and a Peach Trinket Rhinestone Heart to the center of the Heart for some Sparkle!!
Then I Stamped and Embossed the “Happy Halloween” Sentiment from the Trinity Stamps Punny Mummy Stamp Set using Versa Mark Ink and WoW Bright White Embossing Powder!! I LOVE how this CUTIE Turned out and how FUN it is to add some EXTRA Details to really give it some Personality!! Think OUTSIDE of the Box with this Die Set too as this could be used for Thanksgiving and ALL Fall Long just by changing the Colors and Shaker Embellishments being used!!
For my Third Shaker, I’m using the Trinity Stamps Haunted House Cut Out Die Set along with the Trinity Stamps Modern Embossed Edge Circle Dies!! This is another Die Set that has SO MANY uses, and today I’m sharing how to use it to create a Shaped Shaker Card!!
I Started by Die Cutting the Circle from some Black Cardstock 4 Times!! Then I Die Cut the Haunted House Die from the Black Cardstock 2 Times and Layered them together to create the Shaker Image!! I Colored the Windows with some Copic Markers after I Die Cut them from some White Cardstock, using Y00, Y13 & YR23!! Then I adhered them to Windows!! I wanted the Background to be a FUN Night Sky and instead of Coloring or Ink Blending think about using the AMAZING Deco Foil options that are available!! EASY!! I Die Cut the Deco FOil TOner SHeet that I Foiled with some Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil and then Die Cut the Circle and adhered it to the Back of the Shaker Window!! Talk about a STUNNING Result right!!??
I added my Shaker Elements using some of the Bats from the Graveyard Mix, the Ghosts from the Boo Who and Spook Squad Mixes and some of the Stars from both the Glowing Sky Mix (they actually Glow in the Dark) and the Twinkle Twinkle Mix!! So FUN to Shake and I LOVE the Glow in the Dark Stars!!
I Stamped and Embossed the “Happy Halloween” Sentiment from the Trinity Stamps Punny Mummy Stamp Set using Versa Mark Ink and WoW Bright White Embossing Powder!! I LOVE how this turned out the possibilities are ENDLESS with ALL of the different Deco Foil options for the Night Sky!!
BONUS:
I just HAVE to share these BONUS Shaped Shaker Card ideas with you, because I just LOVE how FUN this is and ALL of the different uses for this Die Set too!! I’m using the Taylored Expressions Snack-o-Lantern Die Set and feel like this set could also be used for Thanksgiving Pumpkins and just ANY of your Fall Card Needs as there are SO MANY POSSIBILITIES here too!!
I Die Cut the Frame from some Deco Foil Flock Sheets in Orange Glow and then Inked with some Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink for some Shading!! I Die Cut the Acetate Window and a Black Cardstock Base and a Card Back from Orange Cardstock!!
Then I Die Cut the Stem from some Tuscan Gold Deco Flock, the Tendrils from some Emerald Green Flock, the Leaves from some Green Envy Flock and the Flower from some Yellow Sunshine Flock and I LOVE the personality it adds to the Shaker Card!! These would be FUN to make for ANY SPECIAL Person!! Then I added my Shaker Elements!! SQUEAL!! That’s my FAVORITE Part!! I MUST CONFESS I’m ADDICTED to the Embellishments!!
Then I Stamped and Embossed the Happy Halloween Sentiment with some Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!!
My Last Shaped Shaker Card I wanted to show how FUN it can be to use those Deco Foil Toner Sheets for the Look of an Elegant Pumpkin like you’d find in a Boutique!!
I LOVE the Unity Paisley Dreams Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts Foiled with some Mystic Rainbow Deco Foil!! ANY of the Toner Card Fronts could work here, shop your stash and see what you have on hand!! I used the negative foil after foiling onto the Paisley Dreams Card Front and took the negative foil piece (SEE THIS POST for more info on using the negative foil piece) and applied it to the Deco Foil Toner Sheets (a solid sheet of toner!)
I added the Shaker Elements using a Mix of Confetti and Stars and then again I added a Flowers and some Tendrils and Leaves to finish off the Design!!
I Stamped and Embossed the inside with a Thanks so Much Sentiment and Embossed with some WoW Embossing Gold Embossing Powder!! I LOVE how this turned out and the Elegant Feel you can give this Design to be used ALL Season Long!!
