Sea Turtle Card

Sea Turtle Card Video Tutorial

I thought about using various colors of blue Flock Transfer Sheets to fit more with my “wave” theme, but I really loved how the greens vibed with the turtles, so I went with the greens. I used Green Envy, Emerald Green, and Neon Screamin’ Green Flock Transfer Sheets. I cut portions of the Flock Transfer Sheets with my paper trimmer to make it easier to die cut them. Remember when you’re trimming the Flock Transfer Sheets with a trimmer to cut them “pretty side” DOWN. You don’t want that beautiful Flock to fuzz off. I die cut the pieces of Flock Transfer Sheets with the Pink & Main Scallop Waves Dies until I had enough pieces to fill up a card background.

I found the easiest way to adhere all of these die-cut pieces of Flock Transfer Sheets to the background was to use iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive. This glue is strong, but it gives me a second to wiggle around the Flock Transfer Sheets to make sure I get them in the right place. And once it dries I know it’s not going anywhere!

I staggered the die-cut pieces left and right to create a more wavy dimension and rotated through the three colors of Flock Transfer Sheets. Screamin’ Green Neon Flock, then Green Envy, then Emerald Green Flock Transfer Sheets and repeated until my background was fully covered. I created a stitched outline around my whole card by die cutting the panel with a die from the Pink & Main Stitched Rectangles 1 Die Set.

Glitter Dust Spray

But wait! This background needed one thing more … Glitter, of course! I sprayed the background lightly with Silver Glitter Dust. I absolutely LOVE this glitter spray. It’s easy to get an even amount all across a background. Now it’s time for some cute little sea turtles! I stamped, colored, and die cut a few images from the Pink & Main Turtley Amazing Stamp Set to match my background. I love how there are so many shades of green on one card!

For some finishing touches, I die-cut a Stitched Top Note die from Pink & Main from white cardstock for some contrast and stamped my sentiment onto it with green ink. I added the die and the turtles with iCraft 3D Foam Squares. I LOVE these squares because they are nice and thick and give extra lift! And that’s everything! You could take this background and shake it up with different colors of Flock Transfer Sheets to create a bunch of styles of cards. Imagine it with pink and red Flock Transfer Sheets with cotton candy or ice cream images on top! I hope this inspires you! See you soon!
