Hello and welcome!
It’s Julia from Inflorescence Designs! I’m so joyful you are visiting today. For today’s tutorial, I am going to show you how to make a fun fabric game!
This game is made using Thermoweb’s Block of the Month found on their Facebook Craft Room page. The Facebook Craft room is where you can find more than a dozen Blocks of the Month and their coordinating projects!
For this project you can make as many or as few blocks as you want. You can challenge the players to create a perfect square or rectangle or let their imagination run wild and create whatever they want!

Instructions:
Begin by…
Assemble your scraps. Pay close attention to the tone of the colors. Use a black and white filter to help determine the lightness and darkness of your fabric. Then, cut your pieces according to the pattern.
Next…
Arrange your pieces and begin assembly. Once your blocks are assembled, sew them together into your desired shape. Here are some suggested shapes.
Continue by…
Fuse the craft weight fusible interfacing to the wrong side of your blocks. My interfacing is just slightly smaller than my blocks.
Then…
Layer your backing, right sides together, to your game piece block. Sew all the way around with a 1/4″ seam. Leave a 2-3″ opening for turning.
Next…
Trim the edges and cut the corners. If your game piece has inside corners make sure to snip carefully in those corners as well so that it will lay nice. Try not to cut through your seam.
Finally…
Turn your piece right side out and press, turning under the opening. Then topstitch to finish.
Finished!
