Hello! Are you enjoying Neon Flock Week?  There have been so many awesome projects with so many fun ways to use flock!  For a little more inspiration, I have a couple of cards combining Poppin’ Pink Neon Flock with some rainbow, butterfly backgrounds.

Aren’t those cards colorful and fun?!  I love how those rainbow backgrounds sparkle and change colors and how well the Poppin Pink Flock complements the Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil!

This first card features one of the Butterfly Fly Away Unity Card Fronts and Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass.  Aren’t those colors swoon-worthy?!

For both cards, I began by foiling a Butterfly Fly Away Unity Card Front with Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass.  To do this I simply pre-heated my laminator on the 5 MIL setting, covered the card front with a piece of foil, and ran the sandwich through my laminator.  Easy peasy and so gorgeous!  I saved the leftover foil for my second card.

To create that flocked sentiment, I first die-cut Deco Foil Foam Adhesive with Sugar Pea Designs You Sugar Cut.  I removed the protective liner from the front of the die-cut and applied a piece of Poppin’ Pink Flock (fuzzy-side down).  I ran the piece through my die-cutting machine to transfer the flock and peeled off the excess.  It’s so simple, but really packs a punch!

I trimmed down my foiled panel and matted it with black cardstock, which I adhered to the Memory Tape Runner XL.  I cut a strip of vellum measuring 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ and heat-embossed a sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs Sweet Sentiments – You set.  Above the embossed sentiment, I applied my flocked die-cut.  I wrapped the strip around my matted background, adhering it to the back with the tape runner.

Again using the Tape Runner XL, I attached the panel to a white card.  For more sparkle (Can you have too much on a card? 😉 ), I adhered a few Trinity Stamps Wintery White Rhinestones.  The Ultra Bond Adhesive is the perfect glue to make sure those gorgeous gems stay put!

My second card employs the principle “Waste not, want not.”  Simply by using the leftover foil from my first card, I quickly made an equally fabulous card!

To use the leftover foil, I applied it to a piece of Deco Foil Black Toner Sheet with my laminator (again, set at 5 MIL).  Not only does this adhere to the foil without any adhesive showing through, but it also irons out any wrinkles from the first foiling.

I created the flocked butterfly the same way I created the “You” die-cut.  I first die-cut a piece of Deco Foil Foam Adhesive with Pink & Main’s You Can Fly Die and then applied Poppin’ Pink Flock.

I trimmed the foil piece to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered it to black cardstock with the Tape Runner XL.  You could skip the cardstock, but I like the stability and slight dimension it adds.  With the tape runner, I attached the panel to a white card.

I removed the backing on the butterfly die-cut and placed it in the center of my card.  Using Ultra Bond Adhesive, I attached some rhinestones to the butterfly’s center.  Once the glue dries, those babies aren’t going anywhere!  I heat-embossed a sentiment from Pink & Main’s You Can Fly stamp and die-cut it with MFT Stamps’ Starburst Sentiment Strips Die-namics.  I attached the strip to my card with Gina K. Designs White Foam Squares.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for more Neon Flock inspiration!
