Hello Crafty Friends!! We’re back with another amazing day of projects showcasing products from our friends at Kindred Stamps!
Be sure to stop by their blog to see what they’re up to with our products! Today we have designer Lynnea Hollendonner who also happens to design for Kindred Stamps. Here’s one of her projects she’s made that we love! Click on the image to go to the blog to learn more about this project and watch the video tutorial too!
Today Lynnea has an amazing card that shows off our NEW Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass Foil along with our NEW Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets. It’s Sultan-ly impressive!
No Heat Texture Cards
Hey there, everyone! I’m excited about today’s card video and blog post! ThermOWeb and Kindred Stamps are collaborating to show off how well our products work together! One of the comments I often hear is that people don’t have a laminator and want to use Deco Foil products, so today I’m sharing how to use two new products – Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets and Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass Transfer Sheets without heat! And I love the results! Check out the video at the end of this post to see my techniques!
Let’s start with that gorgeous foiled background! I cut down a sheet of heavyweight cardstock to be the size of a card front and covered the front with a piece of iCraft Easy-Cut Adhesive. I removed the backing and covered the adhesive coated cardstock with a piece of the Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass Transfer Sheet. To make sure the foil adhered really well I ran a bone folder over it and then removed the clear sheet from the top. Seriously this foil is stunning! The color is so bright and vibrant!
I wanted to add a white die cut to the front of my card, but rather than cut it from plain white cardstock I decided to die cut a piece of Deco Foil Flock. The Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets die cut BEAUTIFULLY and add a bit of texture and dimension that is absolutely AWESOME! I used the iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets again, but this time I added the adhesive to both the front and back of a piece of cardstock.
I removed the backing from one side and pressed the cardstock onto a piece of White Latte Deco Foil Flock. To make sure that the flock adhered perfectly to my cardstock I ran it through my die cut machine and then removed the flock backing sheet. Now I have a sheet of cardstock covered with the flock! All that I had to do was die cut it just like I would any other piece of paper! And since I added the iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets to the other side I could easily remove the backing and add my flocked die cut to the front of my card just like a sticker!
The Arabian Nights stamp set from Kindred Stamps pairs perfectly with the mandala die cut and Rainbow Shattered Glass foiled background, don’t you think?! I stamped my character and colored him with alcohol markers and added him and the coordinating sentiment to the front of my card with Gina K Designs White Foam Squares. I thought I would bring in a bit of gold sparkle with the Owl Post Sequin Pack from Kindred Stamps and I adhered them with some iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’ll watch my video below to watch my process for this card!
