Hello, friends! Missy here, and I have a fun Christmas layout to share today. I used a few of the Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates and Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils to add some red, green and silver shine to my page. I love incorporating the foils with mixed media products to create a fun and artsy layout. I pulled the red and green colors from my photo of my daughter on Christmas morning and used watercolors to create the background. I had some peppermint candy circle die cuts in my stash that looked cute on the background, so I used those as well.

Merry Christmas 2015 Scrapbook Layout Instructions:
To create these foiled pieces, you will need a laminator. The Foil Mates are black and white. You can customize them to whatever color you want. I used the Radiant Red Foil here on the Ornamental Holiday Foil-Mate. I used a flower punch and created several small flowers. To add some shading, I smudged a red gelato over it. I used the Glittering Green Foil over the Holiday Flora Foil-Mate and then fussy cut them out to add to the flowers. I love how they shine! I traced the circle die cuts first on the background and then used a brush and some plastic packaging with green watercolors. After everything dried, I machine stitched around the circles with metallic silver thread.
Here’s the beautiful Sparkling Silver Foil. This sentiment would look great on a card, but I fussy cut it and used it as a small title. It’s from the Holiday Cheer Foil-Mate.
To create these poinsettias, I used the iCraft Mixed Media Sheets. I hand drew the flowers and then smudged over them with a red gelato and my fingers. I cut them out and tucked them in here under the photo. I used the Deco Foil PeelnStick Toner Sheets to hand cut some leaves and then foiled it with the Glittering Green Foil. You also need a laminator for those. In the center of my flowers I attached some clear pebbles.
Here’s one more close-up of the page. It’s fun to create something from scratch without using a particular collection. It was easy to cut these flowers and make them unique!
I hope this inspires you to give the Gina K. Designs products a try for your holiday projects! Be sure to keep an eye here on the blog for lots more Christmas project ideas. I have a process video here if you’d like to see how this all came together.
