Hello and welcome to Inflorescence Designs. I am so joyful you are here! Today is my day for the Sew a Story: It Takes a Village Blog Tour hosted by Jennifer Long.

The “It Takes a Village” fabric line by Riley Blake Designs was so fun to work with. I chose to work with their 10″ pre-cut and yardage.

For this project I found a fun pattern from Missouri Star Quilt Company.  The pattern is called Skateboards, and you can purchase it HERE. You can also watch a FREE YouTube video tutorial, and it contains a lot of the information you need to make the quilt. Find that tutorial HERE.

The pattern is called Skateboards, but I think they look like little Matchbox Cars! I plan to gift this quilt to my nephew who loves them.

Here are the supplies I used to create my version of the Skateboards quilt.

Supplies:

For this quilt I used each fabric design.  Since it has 25 cars/skateboards on it I did have to double up one color.  This quilt came together really quickly using the chain stitching method.

I chose a simple wavy stitch to quilt this with and I love the way it turned out!

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you enjoy this blog tour.  Be sure to check out Deb Zaleski’s project for the tour as well! Find that project HERE!
