Gather
By Heather Collins

Everyone gathers things, sometimes it is things and sometimes it is experiences and sometimes it is friends.  This time of the year reminds me to draw them close to me. I created this piece to remind me to gather those I love close to me.

To start this piece I heated my Minc to level four and foiled three card panels from the “Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts – Harvest” using the “Deco Foil Transfer Sheets – Sparkling Cider”.  I sent these pieces through my machine twice.   I also ran a “Deco Foil Toner Sheets” with “Deco Foil Transfer Sheets – Cider” through my machine.

Next I took my unfinished wood piece and spread “Ultrabond Liquid Adhesive” on top of it and attached my foiled Harvest card panels.  I didn’t have to wait long for them to dry.  Then using a cutting knife I cut the extra paper off so that the shape of the leaf was showing.  Then I rubbed come colored wax around the edges.

Then I die cut out using the “Brutus Monroe Harvest Foliage Die Set” and the foiled Toner Sheet.  I also cut out an embossed circle that I rubbed wax onto different areas.

To assemble the finished piece layered all of my pieces on top of the leaf.  Including a stamped and colored Squirrel that I made as my focal piece. This was quick and easy piece to create and a lot of fun!
