Hi Everyone, Ellen here with three cute cards for Christmas! In this post, I’m embossing flock! It’s a technique that has been showing here, but today I’m trying it out for the first time… Exciting, right?

Holiday Cards with Embossed Flock and Avery Elle

Embossing flock is gorgeous and perfect for different styles of cards. I’m over the moon with it, but let’s start with how I began.

First I did use some older sets from Avery Elle (Peek-A-Boo Christmas Train and the Peek-A-Boo Pals), colored them in and taped all the dies with the Pixie Tape before pushing them through the die-cutting machine.

I did cut one of the sentiments from the stamp and combined them with Toner Card Fronts (Oh Hello and Happy Everything). I simply cut the words out with the coordinating dies and pushed them through a hot laminator with Deco Foil Transfer Sheets (with the Red and Green color).

The next step was embossing the Deco Foil Flock.

This step is super easy. You simply follow the directions on your die-cutting machine for embossing and use the flock just as you would with paper.

I was so thrilled with how it looked!

I decided to use the same technique on the next card.

For the second card, I used the Blue Sky Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheet. I first cut a piece of the flock with a rectangular die and then push it again true the laminator with the embossing folder.

I couldn’t stop, of course, it was time for a 3rd card!

I reproduced the first card, but with newer stamps from Avery Elle. I also used the Deco Foil Adhesive Transfer Designs (Let’s Celebrate) to finish of the sentiment. On the ThermOWeb YouTube Channel you can see a video on how you can use these Deco Foil Adhesive Transfer Designs.
