Happy Holidays friends! It’s Juliana Michaels and this week the Therm O Web blog is all about the upcoming holidays. I know it’s still summer, but in my book, it’s never too early to start working on your handmade Christmas cards. Today, I’m sharing how to create a stunning Happy Holidays Wreath Card using Therm O Web Purple Tape.
Die Cutting with Purple Tape
To get started stamp your wreath images (Stamp and Die Set from SugarPea Designs – Pine Cone Greetings) onto white cardstock. Use Therm O Web iCraft Purple Tape to hold the coordinating dies in place and run them through your die cutting machine. After you have die cut the images, ink the edges of the dies with a coordinating ink color for added interest.
Trim a DecoFoil™Clear Toner Sheet to 4 x 5.25 inches and run it through a preheated laminator with DecoFoil™ Transfer Sheet in Gold. For this particular card, the Groovy DecoFoil™Clear Toner Sheet was used.
Wreath Building with Purple Tape
As you can see this particular stamp set has a lot of pieces. Therm O Web Purple Tape is perfect for helping to place the stamped images into a nice round shape.
Use the Purple Tape to tape down a circle die onto your crafting surface. You are going to use this shape as the guide for placing your stamped images. Next, place the foiled Toner Sheet on top of the circle die. Use Purple Tape to hold the Toner Sheet in place.
Begin building your wreath by adhering the stamped images around the circle shape using Memory Tape Runner XL. You can also use 3D Foam Squares for added dimension. Continue placing all of the stamped pine boughs around the circle to complete the wreath. For the final touch, add a red bow using a Zot.
Once your wreath is complete, stamp your sentiment onto a die cut kraft cardstock banner and attach it to the card using 3D Foam Squares.
Adhere the foiled Toner Sheet to a piece of white cardstock trimmed to 4 x 5.25 inches using Memory Tape Runner XL™. This adhesive works great and is barely visible when used with these sheets. Apply the adhesive behind the wreath and then a small amount in each corner to hold it in place. To complete the card front adhere it to a kraft cardstock base.
The final step is to add some red pearls or jewels to the wreath. These particular jewels are self-adhesive, but if the adhesive isn’t strong enough Therm O Web Zots Bling are perfect for adhering small pieces like this.

I hope you enjoyed learning some new ways to use Therm O Web’s Purple Tape in your paper crafting. I also hope this Happy Holidays Wreath Card gives you some inspiration to get started on your Holiday card making!
