Gingerbread Holiday Layout with Deco Foil Flock
Flock the Halls!! Have you decorated for Christmas yet? Maybe done some Christmas baking? These flocked candy canes and gingerbread men would be just the tasty morsels for a holiday baking layout, don’t you think?

Both the gingerbread man (person? is that the PC term these days?) and candy canes were created using manual cut dies and ThermOWeb’s Deco Foil Flock. The gingerbread man is a straight cut from the flock and flock transfer sheets. He’s then further embellished (given his personality) using a snow marker that is heat set for the “puff” or raised texture. The Flock took just fine to the heat of the heat gun!
Deco Foil DUO Transfer Gel
The candy canes are actually made using Deco Foil DUO Transfer Gel through a striped stencil which I let dry and then ran through a hot laminator with the Red Velvet flock. I then used a candy cane-shaped die in such a manner that the stripes ran at an angle. Definitely easier to understand in my technique/process video.
And as if that wasn’t enough flocking, I used two shades of green for the mistletoe. And topped that off with a Deco Foil bow!
I hope you are inspired to break into your flock stash and incorporate some of these amazing textures into your Holiday memory keeping! I don’t think I’ll be back again until the new year so I would love to wish you Happy Holidays! See you in the New Year!
