Hello there! It’s Andrea back to share a fun card featuring the adorable Gnome for the Holidays and Gnome Festive Fall Add-on StampNStencil sets.
Chillin’ With My Gnomies Card
Originally, I planned to create a Thanksgiving card, but once I had die-cut and assembled the pilgrim hat from the Gnome Festive Fall Add-on Dies, I kept seeing a fedora and started thinking about the Blues Brothers (with a little ZZ Top, thanks to those beards). Hence, this card was born (sometimes you just have to go where the creativity leads).
I love adding texture to the gnomes’ beards, so I added some Copic shading to them. I also colored the noses with Copics. I assembled the gnomes with the UltraBond Adhesive Pen.
For my background, I began by blending a panel of Bristol paper with the following distress inks: Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire. I placed MFT’s Sun Rays Stencil over the panel and applied white pigment ink. Once the panel was dry, I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Gnome for the Holidays stamp. Do these gnomes look chill or what?!
To add some sparkle to my background, I applied Silver Glitz Glitter Gel through the stars of the Gnome Festive Fall Add-on Stencil. Once the stars were dry, I adhered the background to a white card with Gina K. Designs Terrific Tape and popped up my gnomes with Gina K. Designs White Foam Tape.
