Hello! Shemaine here today to share a little about breast cancer awareness. My family has been touched by cancer in recent years and specifically breast cancer diagnosis for my Mother in Law and Sister in Law. I am happy to share that both of them are survivors due to early detection via Mammograms. Thankfully, due to social media and breast cancer awareness campaigns, researchers are making progress in the fight to find a cure. The fact that people are talking about cancer more is leading to people getting checked more often and early detection is saving more lives.
A hand made card is a great way to show support to someone you know fighting their battle. Several of my favorite stamp companies have come out with some really inspiring images to create cards in support of breast cancer.
I have made several cards with this Cure Girls image from Unity Stamp Co. For this card I stamped and colored the image and mounted it on cardstock that was embossed and cut to fit the center of the heart die. Then I used i-Craft® Easy-Tear Adhesive tape to create stripes I could foil to create a background.

Cricut also has cancer ribbon images available in Cricut Design Space that are perfect for our iCraft Deco Foil Deco Foil™ Peel n Stick Toner Sheets. Simply cut the image using the Poster board setting. Then grab some foil and run it through your laminator.
I sprayed some watercolor paper with Heidi Swapp’s Color Shine and then peeled the backing off iCraft® Deco Foil™ PeelnStick sheet and mounted it directly to the cardstock. Then I used 3D Foam Squares to mount it to my card base and finished with a sentiment and the butterfly die.
