Around my house May means birthdays and birthday parties. I love making invitations for my daughters’ birthday parties. Often we get email invitations or web invitations, so when my kids hand deliver their paper hand crafted invitations they really stand out! I like to create a design in Photoshop and then add papers, ribbons, or other embellishments to give it texture. Quite often I pop up part of the design with Therm O Web 3D Foam Adhesive, as is the case with these two invites.
In the first one I popped up the text block over patterned paper and ribbon. The second one I digitally die cut old-fashioned movie cameras, sprayed them with Therm O Web Glitter Dust, and popped it up with 3D Foam Squares. I also have a habit of matting the entire invite with a solid cardstock. I attach the solid cardstock with Therm O Web Sticky Strip Runner.
Grab a cake, lights some candles, blow up the balloons, and create your next birthday party invitations. They are surprisingly quick and easy and handmade invitations set a great mood for the party to follow!
Cheers!
