Hello friends, it’s me, Ellen, writing this blogpost. The whole week you saw a lot of critters projects and today will not be different! In this post, I want to show you three different ways to bring your flock to life creating animal themed cards.
On each card, I did first add Deco Foil Flock on White Foam Adhesive by using pressure from my die cutting machine. When I had a piece of the colored flock I did cut out all the elements for the critters/pawprint. Below I will explain one by one of the three fun ideas to make your flock special. Let’s begin!
Stencil On Your Flock
One way to add something special on your flock is by using stencils.
On this card, I gave patterns on the clothes from the mice. To add that pattern I taped the little piece with Purple Tape on the back of my stencil with the facing the stencil. The purple tape was very handy so the little pieces didn’t move while I applied the colors.
I finished the card by adding teal ink on a heart shape and foiling the Deco Foil Toner Sheet Endless Leaves with Pink Quartz Deco Foil Transfer Sheets.
The Small Zots glue dots helped me adding the sequins onto the card.
Give Your Flock Color
You can make your flock look totally different by simply adding color. The white Latte Flock is the most fun to add color to. You can really give that any color you want!
On this piece, I colored the White Latte Flock with distress ink. The blending tool was very easy to apply the ink. You can give more color-gradation by applying a little more ink on certain places. It really gives a lot dimension on your image.
To create the rest of the card I used stencils, Deco Foil Transfer Gel and Bronze Deco Foil Transfer Sheets.
The Gina K Design Foam was helping me to add the banner on top of the background.
Stamp On Your Flock
You can definitely stamp on the flock, it’s really fun to do.
To be able to stamp on your flock I think it’s best to use some non smearable ink. I used Archaval Ink to do it.
The background of this card was also created by adding Foil on to a colored background by using again the Deco Foil Transfer Gel. The Rainbow Shattered Glass Foil Transfer Sheets really adds so much joy to this card.
And that’s it – We went through the three ideas! I hope you enjoyed my projects today and thank you for stopping by!

June 26, 2019 at 10:15 am (5 years ago)I love how the flocking looks on the dog, and the mice. What a great idea! I would love to try the flocking. I have only tried the powder (I have quite a few), but they don’t work really well….
