Hello and welcome!

It’s Julia from Inflorescence Designs! I’m so joyful you are visiting today.

This week’s theme is all about Houses that Make a Home!  My project for you today is a simple tabletop quilt display or can be incorporated into a larger quilt. To make this exact quilt block, you will need to download the quilt block pattern from Thermoweb’s Crafting Facebook page called Therm O Web Craft Room.  There you will find not only this fun quilt block pattern but also other FREE blocks that are published monthly as part of a block-of-the-month feature. This pattern is from the April 2023 Block of the Month.

Infinity House Quilt Block Display

I titled the quilt block “Infinity House” because the block can be customized so many different ways with the templates provided.  AND…..if you add your own dimensions the possibilities are essentially endless!

Supplies:

Fabric:

  • Base Front: 12 1/2″
  • Backing: 14″
  • House and Decor: varies
  • Binding: varies depending on application preference.
  • Hanging Tabs: (2) 3″ squares

Additional Applications:

Instructions:

Begin by…

Cut out the pattern pieces, determine your layout and trace them onto the HeatnBond Lite. Fuse the HeatnBond Lite to your fabric. Cut out your pieces on the lines drawn and arrange your pieces on the 12 1/2″ front fabric piece. Fuse your pieces to the fabric.

Next…

Fuse the Medium Weight Interfacing to the back of your block. This helps keep the shape of the block and helps to prevent warping. It also helps when hand stitching your veggie garden. Applique using your method of choice.

Continue by…

Hand stitching your veggie garden if you decided to include one.

Then…

Using SpraynBond Basting Spray, bast the StitchnSew Fleece, front and backing together.

Finally…

Trim the edges and attach the binding using your preferred method. If adding the hangers refer to the pattern for instructions.

Finished!

Thank you for visiting today!  Come back soon to see what else will be starting to bloom with Inflorescence Designs!
