This year we’ve had a bumper crop of zucchini… here is the haul from yesterday (not to mention the dozen or so already in the fridge plus all the ones we’ve given away).

In addition to grilled zucchini, roasted zucchini, sautéed zucchini, zucchini frittatas and pizzas, I love to make zucchini bread. This is one of my favorite recipes: Mom’s Zucchini Bread. It’s really moist and delicious, plus with all that zucchini, it’s probably almost as healthy as eating a salad, right?

The recipe makes two loaves, so I decided to give one to a friend as a thank you for helping me out with my son’s graduation party. I cut a 4″ wide strip of 12×12 scrapbook paper and placed adhesive on the back of the paper around both ends – the Tape Runner XL works well for this.

The paper wasn’t quite long enough, so I had a tiny gap which I positioned at the top of the loaf.

A die cut scalloped oval covered it up nicely.

Here is a something I do all the time… I use a Zot to help keep ribbon from moving. The ones labeled ULTRA THIN are only about 1/64″ thick and virtually invisible under ribbon or paper. I flipped the loaf over and stuck the Zot to the bottom and then placed the center of the ribbon on top.

I used my Tape Runner XL to adhere all the elements to the tag. The whole project only took a few minutes to complete and really dresses up the loaf of bread.

Thanks for dropping by! Please feel free to say hello and share your favorite zucchini recipes… I haven’t been out to the garden yet today as I’m almost afraid of how much more I will find. 🙂
