Zots Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea

It’s never too early to start thinking about teacher gifts and I thought the Clear Acrylic ATC Stand from Maya Road would make a perfect base for a mini album filled with some inspiring teacher themed quotes. This adorable little stand is a bit over 4″ tall, making it the perfect size to sit on a teacher’s desk.

The base comes with chipboard pages which can be decorated on both sides for a gift that looks great from any angle. Therm O Web’s SuperStik Permanent Glue stick works really well for adhering paper to chipboard. Once dry it provides a super strong bond, but you also get the benefit of a paste which allows you to move things around for a few seconds after initial placement. This is especially helpful if you want to make sure things are straight on the page.

The quotes were put together using the computer and printed on matte photo paper. After they were adhered to the chipboard, I used a craft knife to trim off the excess and then sanded down the edges.

The wooden accents from Maya Road seemed to work well with this project – especially the rulers and protractors. These were easy to adhere with the glue stick too.

The pages are all attached using metal rings, which are included in the album kit.

The SuperStik glue stick was used to adhere the wooden frames and Zots™ Singles were used to adhere the sequins.

I think this was one of my favorite quotes. My kids have had so many wonderful teachers over the years who have made a big difference in their lives. And when I remember some of the great teachers I’ve had, I wish I had been a bit more appreciative at the time and thanked them for all of their help and inspiration.
