You're The Sweetest Ice Cream Deco Foil Cards

Hello again, everyone! It’s Lynnea Hollendonner and today I’m using one stencil with three different mediums to make a set of yummy summer cards! I love how you can get different looks just by moving around a stencil and mixing up the backgrounds! For each card, I used the Circular Harlequin stencil from Miss Ink Stamps, some yummy ice cream images from the Healthy-ish stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop, and a sentiment Lawn Fawn’s Sweetest Flavor stamp set. Of course, I used the FABULOUS Pixie Spray to hold my stencil in place and iCraft Ultrabond Liquid Adhesive to adhere my images. Deco Foil Cards

My first card (and my favorite!) shows off the Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass Transfer Sheets! I used the Deco Foil Transfer Gel through the stencil and let it dry until it was completely clear. Then I cut down a piece of the foil and ran it through my laminator with a piece of parchment paper as my carrier sheet. Parchment paper is a GAME CHANGER! I usually use computer paper, but because the parchment paper is thinner the heat transfers through the medium better giving me a better result. The shine on this card is front and center and has me craving a delicious ice cream cone!

Deco Foil Cards

For my second card, I decided to use some of the new Glitz Glitter Gels from Gina K Designs. I used some Turquoise Sea and Grass Green. I started by adding some of the Grass Green over parts of my stencil and then came in with Turquoise Sea and filled in the remaining areas. My idea was to have different areas with the 2 colors, but I was quite heavy handed with the Turquoise Sea and it overtook the Grass Green. I love how the resulting color is almost a seafoamy green! In my video, you’ll see that I had a popsicle in between the two cones, but I thought it looked strange. Like an afterthought – so I carefully tore out the popsicle leaving just the two cones and I like this look so much better!

Deco Foil Cards

For my last card, I decided to use some Deco Foil White Pearl Metallix on kraft cardstock. I LOVE the look of white on kraft and I wanted to play off of a chocolate and vanilla swirl ice cream cone! I love the result! Super yummy! Check out my video below for more tips!
