Hello friends! Shemaine here today so happy to be sharing some inspiration during our collaboration this week with Kindred Stamps. For today’s card, I am sharing how you can use our Deco Foil Transfer Gel as an ink resist with stencils.

Stole My Heart Card

Let’s start by applying some Pixie spray to the Kindred Stamps stencil and pressing it onto our cardstock. I like to use 110lb cardstock when working with liquid mediums. I also used purple tape to hold the stencil on the white background paper out of habit.

Evenly apply the transfer gel over the stencil using the stencil pal. Then gently lift the stencil to reveal the design. Set aside to dry for at least an hour.

Once the transfer gel is dry, I used a cute star die cut background to create a fun design by running it thru my die cutting machine.

Next, I applied some Distress Oxide inks to the stenciled transfer gel.

You can see how well the dried transfer gel resists the inks.

Simply wipe the area you inked with a paper towel to remove the excess inks on the stencil design.

Now I am ready to stamp and color the images from the Catcher of Beasts stamp set. Once they are colored, I die cut some cute polaroid dies and placed them over the stamped images and cut away the excess.

Using our 3D foam strips, I cut eh size I needed and adhered them to the card base. I finished the card by stamping my sentiment and adhering with our XL memory tape runner.

The finished card is a fun scene. Make sure you visit us all week long for more inspiration with Therm-o-Web and Kindred Stamps! Don’t forget to enter our giveaway too!
