New to the Therm O Web product line this year is iCraft Deco Flock, and I think you’re going to love the soft fuzzy texture it adds to your papercrafting projects. Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets come in large ( 6 by 12 inch) velvety transfer sheets, and there are two ways to apply the flocking, giving you lots of design options. I’ll show you both methods today on this bright and happy sunflower hello card.

You Brighten My Day Card Instructions
To begin, gather some gather some cardstock, a large Project Life or Journaling Card with a fun print, and the GinaK Designs Decorative Tag die set. Create a top folding A2 card base from Luxury White cardstock, and also die cut the largest tag from the white paper, too. Cut a smaller panel of kraft cardstock, rounding all four corners with a corner rounder punch. And finally, cut a 2″ strip of colored cardstock.
Tape the strip of colored cardstock down onto a piece of scrap paper using Therm O Web Purple Tape. Lay the stencil over the paper, and hold it in place with more Purple Tape. Apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the stencil with a palette knife, scraping off the excess gel and returning it to the jar. Remove the stencil and wash it immediately with warm soapy water, while setting the cardstock aside to dry. Deco Foil Transfer Gel is the first way you can apply the flock.
While the transfer gel is drying, die cut a script sentiment from double-sided adhesive foam. Trim out a small piece of Deco Flock sheet that is slightly larger than your word.
Peel off the top protective liner from the foam, and place the sticky side down onto the flock paper. To evenly transfer the flock to the foam, place the sentiment between two cutting pads, and run it through your die cut machine.
Peel off the flock sheet to reveal your beautifully flocked sentiment word. Die cut the sentiment word a second time from dark brown cardstock. Adhere the brown piece behind the flocked piece, slight down and to the right to create a drop shadow effect.
Heat up your laminating machine. Once the transfer gel is dry, place the flock paper over the gelled cardstock (fuzzy side down). Run the paper through the laminating machine.
Peel off the flock paper to reveal the beautifully flocked cardstock.
Stamp a sentiment from the Graphic Sunflower stamp set onto the top of the tag using brown ink.
Stamp and die cut a flower, two leaves, and a flower center onto white and kraft cardstocks.
Assemble the paper layers and adhere them to the card base using XL Memory Tape Runner. Tie twine through the top of the tag. Adhere the die cut leaves to the back of the flower, and add it to the tag using GinaK Designs Foam Squares. Adhere the sentiment to the center of the flower using Ultra Bond liquid adhesive. Punch a scalloped edge onto a thin strip of yellow cardstock, and adhere it to the bottom of the tag, trimming off the sides as needed. Adhere the tag to the card base with additional foam squares.
Enjoy!
