XOXO Scrapbook Layout

When I started this layout, it did not look like this in my head, it just evolved!  LOL LOL  So, my process below may be a little scattered and not the norm for my usual posts, but you will be able to re-create this if you want!

I started off with the XOXO die.  I knew I wanted it as my title, but as I played around decided I wanted a few of them in different hot foil colors.  These would look REALLY cool in a rainbow color scheme, but I didn’t have all the foil colors!

Here I just heated up my solid foil plate and then laid the die cuts on the foil.  My bad, this also foiled my cover plate, so put a plain piece of cardstock on top so you don’t foil your plate!  Or just solid foil a piece of cardstock and then die cut!

Below is a close-up of the three foils I used, Orchid, Mint and Rose Gold.  I think that Rose Gold is my favorite, but that mint.……  LOL LOL

I also wanted the XOXO to stand up but didn’t want to trim any foam tape that small, plus I wanted more of a chipboard look.  Easy Cut Adhesive and Deco Foil Foam Adhesive to the rescue.  I used the XOXO die and die-cut three more layers for each XOXO.  One out of the Easy Cut Adhesive sheet was applied to cardstock and then two layers out of the Deco Foil Foam.

This made it so quick and easy to adhere the three layers to my foiled die cuts with no waiting for the liquid to dry!  That rose gold, swoon!!!!

TAG FUN

I fell in love with the Fabulous Stamp and Die set.  That layered ‘loved’ sealed the deal!  I knew I wanted it as my title.  So, a bunch of tags made from the Party Tag set was on the agenda to make that happen! I love that with Pixie Tape you can hold your dies in the exact spot that you want and get a perfect cut, like my striped tag back there.  No slipping and so fun!

Next I used my Misti to stamp that layered stamp, which made it so easy!  After both layers were stamped, I then used the matching die with my Pixie Tape to cut out the loved. Another wonderful use for holding that die in place for Pixie Tape!

I layered each part of my tag bundle with the 3D Foam Squares, including the die cut word.  Just to add some dimension to the area.

All that is left now, is to complete the rest of the layout!  I used a couple of pieces of 6×6 papers and slipped them behind my photos and then popped everything up with foam squares!

I die cut some hearts in the colors of the vine background and placed them around my pictures. To hold those hearts together, I used Pixie Tape on the back and then placed 3D Foam Squares on top of the Pixie Tape!

And I willl leave you with a little more foil fun in Mint!!  Thanks for coming by today!!!
