Hello friends, this is Jennifer Long from Sew A Story, a fabric designer with Riley Blake Designs and a doll and quilt pattern designer.

Celebrate Halloween with traditionally pieced witch’s hats decorated with gorgeous fall flowers made with raw-edge applique!

This pattern is traditionally pieced, intermediate-level, and finishes at 62″ x 79″. This pattern comes with instructions to make the quilt with a white or an orange background. Included with the pattern are both applique template shapes and SVG cut files to make the flowers.

Let’s start sewing! Just gather the supplies below, and then download the pattern and letter labels. Don’t forget to share your Witch’s Hat Quilt on social media using the hashtag #WitchsHatQuilt and tag @sewastory_jenniferlong

I used fabric from my Little Witch fabric collection with Riley Blake Designs (in stores now) for the project! This fabric is more spooky than scary, featuring whimsical pumpkins, potions, spiders, cats, witches, and more! You’ll love the fussy-cutting opportunities this fabric provides.

Learn my process for raw-edge fusible applique using Therm O Web’s HeatnBond Lite Iron-On Adhesive! I share my tips and favorite products for tracing patterns, cutting out accurate shapes, and fusing in place to make fun embellishments on your quilts!

Thank you for joining me today on the Therm O Web Blog. I hope you enjoy trying raw-edge fusible applique on your projects!

I cannot wait to see your finished Witch’s Hat quilts! Please tag me @sewastory_jenniferlong so I can cheer you on!
