Tag sets are one of my favorite gift ideas at the holidays. They are practical and useful for everyone on your gift giving list, and better yet are inexpensive to make and a lot of fun to put together, too. Here are a couple of ideas that you can create in no time using Therm O Web’s amazing adhesives and adorable papers and stamps from our product partner this week, Lawn Fawn.
Begin by stamping the tag image from the Winter Gifts stamp set onto a variety of Peace Joy Love 6×6 papers using dark grey ink. Cut out the tags.
Color in the outline of the tag using matching markers.
Stamp the banner flag image onto white cardstock using dark grey ink. Stamp the snowman onto the right side of the banner, and stamp greetings onto the left side using red and green inks. Color the snowman with markers, and cut out all the banners.
Adhere the banners onto the tags using 3D adhesive squares.
Punch a 1/8″ hole in the top of the tags and thread with red baker’s twine. Adhere blue buttons using Medium Zots adhesive dots.
Stamp the holly leaves onto white cardstock using dark grey ink, and color the images with the markers. Trim the images out and adhere to the tags using Zots for Bling miniature clear adhesive dots.
Stamp the snowman onto the bottom right corner of a glassine bag and place the tags into the bag. Wrap the top with a doily. Secure with Therm O Web tape runner and wrap with ribbon and twine. Stamp one additional tag onto blue patterned paper, cut out and layers with a journaling tag and a flair button. Tuck tag up under the bow and secure with Zots dots.
For a completely different look using the same stamp set and patterned paper, try using kraft cardstock for a more natural look.
Happy Holidays Kraft Tag Set by Designer Audrey Pettit
Supplies:
Therm O Web Mini Tape Runner
Therm O Web Singles Zots™ Small Clear Adhesive Dots
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Winter Gifts Clear Stamp Set
Patterned Paper, Flair: Lawn Fawn Peace Joy Love Collection
Cardstock: Stampin’Up (white), The Kraft Outlet (kraft)
Ink: Stampin’Up (brown), Clearsnap (white)
Marker: Marvy Uchida
Hemp: May Arts
Ribbon: Stampin’Up (seam binding), SEI (tulle)
Stamp the tag image onto kraft cardstock using dark brown ink and cut the tags out. Edge the tags with white ink. Randomly stamp snowflakes onto the tags using the white ink.
Hand cut wavy hills from white cardstock and adhere to the bottom of the tag. Stamp sentiment onto the hill using the dark brown ink. Stamp the snowman on top of the hill, and then again onto blue patterned paper. Trim out just the body and hat portion of the image, and adhere on top of the snowman stamped on the tag. Color the carrot nose using marker. Stamp To: onto white cardstock, cut into banner strips, and adhere at the top of the tags. Punch holes in the tags and thread with white hemp.
For a slightly different packaging idea, slip the tags into a clear cello bag. Fold patterned paper over the top of the bag, securing with Zots™ dots. Tie trim around the topper. Add word strips cut from the patterned paper and a flair button.
Enjoy!
